The stunning Y shaped column features than run along Fore Street in Moorgate wore produced in 2013 and comprised 10 Tonne structurally encased steel sections cast in a white reconstructed stone casing to provide a monolithic form. These were complimented by low level Precast Nodes which clad the steel intersection points.
The mix was a reconstructed Portland stone colour with acid etched external surfaces. Each columns section was created by manufacturing 4 No individual components and stitching these together at the works to create the single 10tonne features which were then delivered to site 2 per load to be installed by the specialist steel work contractor
